A Letter From the Founder
Four weeks in Guatemala when I was 20 years old changed the trajectory of my life.
During that trip, I lived with local families and worked alongside entrepreneurs bringing vision care to rural communities. For the first time, I saw how access to opportunity — or lack of it — shapes the course of a person’s life.
That experience didn’t just broaden my perspective — it gave me direction. It led me to study finance, join a startup, and eventually build multiple companies of my own.
But when I returned home, I watched some of my peers struggle with addiction, depression, and a lack of purpose. I couldn’t help but wonder how different their paths might have been if they had experienced the kind of perspective shift I was fortunate enough to have.
That realization planted a seed:
What if we could give young people from rural communities the opportunity to experience the world before they begin college or their careers?
